AuctionSignalBot collects publicly available auction listing facts — lot titles, closing dates, current bids, locations and specifications — so that professional equipment buyers can find relevant lots without opening forty tabs every Monday morning.

What we do

• Honour robots.txt and Crawl-delay on every request.
• Honour 429 and Retry-After by permanently lowering our rate for that site.
• Use conditional requests (ETag / If-Modified-Since) so most visits transfer nothing.
• Identify ourselves consistently. We never rotate identities or disguise the crawler.
• Display factual metadata, a short excerpt, a permitted thumbnail, and a prominent link back to your listing.

What we never do

• Attempt logins, CAPTCHAs, paywalls, or geo-restrictions. Sites behind those are recorded as unsupported in our public coverage ledger.
• Bid on any lot, on anyone's behalf, ever.
• Republish complete descriptions, full galleries, or documents without permission.

Opt out

Email bot@auctionsignal.app from an address at your domain, or POST to /api/public/opt-out. We stop crawling immediately and permanently, and the change is visible in our public coverage ledger.
